Head coach Pete Carroll stated Monday that it would be "miraculous" for Bennett (knee) to return for Sunday's matchup with the Eagles, Curtis Crabtree of the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bennett has been sidelined the previous three weeks, and unless you believe in miracles, appears on track to miss at least one more. A return Week 12 is presumably the best bet for the veteran defensive end at this point. Frank Clark figures to be in line for another start if Bennett indeed cannot go.

Bennett (knee) will not play Sunday versus the Patriots, Ben Volin of the Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bennett recently required arthroscopic knee surgery to repair cartilage damage in his knee and wasn't expected to be back in time anyway. Frank Clark projects to take his place in the starting lineup.

Bennett (knee) will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery this week and is expected to miss two to three weeks, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bennett originally injured the knee Week 6 versus the Falcons, but played against the Cardinals in Week 7 without any snap count limitations, which may have aggravated the knee issue. Frank Clark is expected to replace him in the starting lineup.

Head coach Pete Carroll said Bennett (knee) is dealing with cartilage damage and may need surgery.
EDGE Analysis
Bennett therefore appears destined for a multi-week absence, starting this Sunday against the Saints. Consequently, Frank Clark and Cassius Marsh are in store for expanded workloads.

Bennett (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bennett took a chop block to the knees during Sunday's tilt against the Falcons and was thought to have sustained a significant injury. However, it's apparent both he and his team dodged a bullet as Bennett wasn't even limited at practice and is fully expected to play this weekend.

Bennett (knee) will not miss much time, if any at all, with his knee injury, Marc Sessler of NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bennett's injury appeared to look nasty. He was cut down by Falcons' tackle Jake Matthews and appeared to hyperextend his knee, but the injury is apparently not nearly as serious as originally anticipated. He could be back by Week 7, but if he is unable to suit up, expect Quinton Jefferson (thumb) and Frank Clark (hamstring) to see expanded roles.

Bennett suffered a knee injury Sunday against the Falcons and is questionable to return, ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The nature of Bennett's injury is unspecified, but it didn't look good. With Frank Clark (hamstring) not playing, technically only Cliff Avril remains as the Seahawks' last healthy defensive end.

Bennett was kicked out of Thursday's practice for butting heads with teammates, Sports Illustrated reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bennett is known as a fierce competitor, and his emotions got the better of him Thursday, as he continuously jawed and mixed it up with offensive players during the latter portion of practice. Bennett will almost certainly not face any kind of significant punishment for his behavior, as he is one of the more valuable players on Seattle's defense. The skirmishes Bennett got involved in were most likely just a result of fierce competition, which is often encouraged during training camp, although not to the extent of disrupting practice.

Bennett reported to training camp Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Bennett is still seeking a new contract with the team this is obviously cause for optimism. The 30-year-old veteran started all 16 games for the Seahawks last season, and recorded ten sacks while forcing two fumbles.

Bennett's agent will meet with the Seahawks early this week to discuss his desire for a new contract, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bennett still has two years remaining on his current deal, but is glaringly underpaid, as his respective upcoming base salaries are for just $4 million and $6 million, and are not guaranteed. Coming off a career-high 52 tackles and 10 sacks, the 30-year-old Bennett is one of the league's most disruptive defensive lineman, and is reportedly seeking a multi-year extension with money in the range of the top six or seven players at his position. After their contract saga with safety Kam Chancellor last year, the Seahawks are well aware of the risk of alienating one of their best players, so it should be interesting to track the developments in Bennett's contract pursuit.
