Ioannidis (knee) is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Ioannidis sustained the injury in the first half. He was able to walk off the field under his own power but his return is questionable.

Ioannidis returned to practice Wednesday, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following a brief stint on the COVID-19 list, Ioannidis has rejoined his teammates at practice. A biceps tear limited him to three games last season, but he did well with the transition to a bench role, notching four QB hits and 1.5 sacks on 81 snaps prior to the injury. While he'd be a starter for most teams, Ioannidis likely will continue to rotate in behind Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne in Washington, with most of his snaps coming on passing downs.

Washington placed Ioannidis on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Ioannidis will now have to self-isolate, and before he's allowed to return to training camp he'll need to fully clear the league's related protocols. After being limited to just three games in 2020 due to torn biceps, it would no doubt be beneficial for Ioannidis to get in as much practice as possible before Week 1.

Ioannidis (biceps) reverted to injured reserve from the COVID-19 list Saturday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old tested positive for coronavirus earlier in November but has cleared the league's protocols and moves back to injured reserve. Ioannidis will continue his recovery after undergoing season-ending biceps surgery in early October.

Ioannidis (biceps) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday after testing positive for the virus, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old underwent season-ending biceps surgery in early October, so the positive test shouldn't have a major impact on the organization as a whole. Ioannidis will return to injured reserve once he clears the league's COVID-19 protocols.

Ioannidis announced via his personal Twitter account Friday that he has undergone surgery to repair his torn biceps.
EDGE Analysis
Ioannidis will miss the remainder of the 2020 season due to his injury, and Washington has already placed him on IR. In Ioannidis' absence, Tim Settle stands to handle an increased rotational role behind Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne.

Ioannidis suffered a torn biceps in Sunday's 34-20 loss to Cleveland and will miss the rest of the season, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ioannidis isn't a starter, but he still plays about half of the defensive snaps in each game as a fill-in for Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne. This will hurt Washington's depth on the defensive line going forward, and Tim Settle will have to take on a larger workload moving forward. Ioannidis finished with seven tackles and 1.5 sacks this season.

Ioannidis (arm) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against Cleveland, Rhiannon Walker of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear how Ioannidis suffered the injury, but the concern is that it's serious, especially considering he was immediately ruled out. With the Temple product sidelined, Tim Settle is in line to take over the depth defensive tackle snaps.

Ioannidis logged four tackles, four quarterback hits and 1.5 sacks Sunday in Washington's 27-17 win over the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
The Washington defensive front took full advantage of an injury-ravaged Eagles offensive line in the season opener, totaling eight sacks on the day. Ioannidis' pass-rush production might have been the most impressive of the lot, considering he led the team in QB hits while playing an interior spot and seeing the field for only 30 of Washington's 68 defensive snaps (44.1 percent). He'll continue to receive rotational work as part of an impressive four-man group at tackle that includes two recent first-round picks (Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne) and Tim Settle.

Ioannidis played all 16 games in 2019, piling up 64 tackles (42 solo) and a team-high 8.5 sacks.
EDGE Analysis
Ioannidis also led the team in quarterback hits (16) and played the most defensive snaps (826, 73 percent) of any of Washington's defensive linemen. He, Jonathan Allen and Da'Ron Payne formed a solid trio up front in a 3-4 scheme, while the linebackers and defensive backs played at a much lower level. In any case, Ioannidis looks like one of the top bargains on a subpar roster, with 2020 marking the first season of the three-year, $21.75 million extension he signed this past April. A new coaching staff could mix things up, but it's a pretty safe bet that Ron Rivera and Jack Del Rio will view Ioannidis as one of their building blocks. The soon-to-be 26-year-old has 20.5 sacks in 44 games over the past three years.
