BALLER MOVE: Add in 10+ Team PPR Leagues OWNED IN: 63% of Fleaflicker Leagues Who would have guessed that Matt Hasselbeck could be better for a tight end’s fantasy value than Andrew Luck?  It seems to be the case for Fleener, even though he and Luck have been teammates for years between their times together at Stanford and Indianapolis. This article references A, Andre Johnson, Andrew Luck, C, Matt Hasselbeck, OF, QB, RB, SS, TE and more! Colts starting quarterback Andrew Luck is officially listed a questionable for Sunday, but according to Chris Mortensen on Twitter, he's expected to sit out the week four contest against the Jacksonvile Jaguars. He was limited in practice all week but the pain is said to be the main issue with his throwing shoulder. Indy looks to be taking the cautious route here, trying to avoid further damage to the franchise quarterback's shoulder. Matt Hasselbeck will get the start today in a juicy matc[...]Keep on reading: Andrew Luck To Sit, Matt Hasselbeck a Deep Fantasy Option?

On Second Thought - Deflategate fantasysharks.com Mon 1/26/15 1:00 PM

Nobodydenies that Bill Belichick will do anything to gain a competitive advantage. Thesun also rises in the east and sets in the west for those of you that werewondering. Nobodydenies that NFL quarterbacks inflate and deflate the footballsto their liking. Matt Leinart tweeted this after the scandal broke out -- "Every team tampers with the footballs. Ask any QB Inthe league, this is ridiculous!!" Everybody agrees that the AFC Championship game was not affected by the air pressure inthe footballs. On the Rich Eisen Show, Indianapolis Colts backup quarterback(and former Seattle Seahawk) Matt Hasselbeck said, "We don't feel like this hadany impact on our game." Andeverybody agrees that "Deflategate" will have no effect on the Super Bowl. Seattle'soutspoken cornerback Richard Sherman was quoted as saying, "[Deflategate is]not going to have any effect on this game. Nobody is going to get suspended[for the Super Bowl] and nothing's going to happen." Inregards to Sherman's statement; nobody denies that except me. Deflategatewill in fact affect the Super Bowl. Deflategate will absolutely guarantee thatthe NFL standards of 12.5-13.5 pounds of air pressure in a football will beadhered to. Manyquarterbacks like Leinart have gone on record as saying that all quarterbacks inflate/deflatethe footballs the way they want them. Aaron Rodgers admitted earlier in theweek that he likes his inflated higher than most. The NFL would never admitthis but this scandal goes to show that even though this rule exists in theNFL, it is one the NFL officials have not been enforcing regularly. Untilnow. Youcan guarantee that not only will the Super Bowl footballs all adhere toregulation but at some point in the broadcast there will be an over-the-topsegment with a sideline reporter, an air pressure gauge and possibly an NFLofficial and this is exactly what Belichick wanted. Whywould Belichick want this? What and who does a deflated ball help? Simple, aball with less air pressure is going to have a softer touch for catching and isgoing to be easier to grip for running with the ball. Ateam that has a smaller quarterback, smaller receivers, a smaller tight end andrelies heavily on the running game is going to benefit from having footballsthat are slightly deflated. Conversely, a team with a larger quarterback, tightends, wide receivers and less of a running game would not be as negativelyimpacted by having properly inflated footballs. Isit possible that Belichick realized this...

Wally's World: Traveling down that 'Holiday Road' of Fantasy Football fantasysharks.com Mon 8/11/14 7:15 AM

After a week spent vacationing in western Kentucky (translation; lots of swimming and fishing) we are back with another preseason edition of Wally's World. We don't need a map or high tech GPS system to navigate this trip because we are going whatever direction the fantasy road may lead us. So after a long Sunday spent binge watching as much preseason football as humanly possible these are a few of the things I found intriguing. Fasten your seatbelt because we will be jumping around the world of fantasy football from standard formats as well as some thoughts regarding Individual Defensive Player (IDP) leagues. It's hard not to like Giants rookie RB Andre Williams. He looked good in the Hall of Fame game and is in a perfect position to contribute right away. Starting RB Rashad Jennings looked pretty good himself in the G-Men's second preseason game and it looks like a ground and pound type of season in New York. Do not fret the zero catch total for WR Sammy Watkins last week as the kid will still be a valuable weapon for Buffalo. If skittish owners decide to pass him up on draft day then go ahead and jump on him. Watkins is a special talent and water always finds it level. Color me skeptical regarding all the training camp praise that Denver RB Ronnie Hillman is receiving. Injuries to Montee Ball and C.J. Anderson will give Hillman every chance to shine, but I don't think he will. Been there, done that and know how this movie ends. The Giants are happy to see Damontre Moore rack up a sack, as they will need the second year DE to step up this season with the departure of Justin Tuck in free agency. So the Jets are planning a three-headed RBBC monster this season? Thanks Rex. Let's see how injuries and preseason performances shake out before avoiding this situation like the plague. Call it a ‘sneaky premonition' or ‘gut feeling' but I love Green Bay WR Jarrett Boykin this season. Here's hoping that he has a quiet preseason so he remains a nice value pick in drafts moving forward. Have to love rookie LBs Ryan Shazier of the Steelers and Christian Kirksey in Cleveland, as both are poised for big roles on their defenses. In a division that will run the ball as much as any in the league these two youngsters should rack up very nice tackle numbers. Hate to see Lions DE Ziggy Ansah miss so much of training camp. Reports are that he's close to returning and he'll need all the reps he can get moving forward. It's hard to see where Detroit is going to ...
