Walton did not record a single carry or target during Sunday's 51-14 loss to the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Walton saw only two offensive snaps during the Week 10 loss. With both Joe Mixon and Giovani Bernard healthy for the first time since Week 2, Walton no longer appears to possess a notable role in Cincinnati's offense. The rookie fourth-round pick is expected to see most of his snaps on special teams going forward.

Walton is active for Sunday's game against the Saints, but is expected to see reduced involvement on offense with Giovani Bernard (knee) returning from a four-game absence, Fletcher Page of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Walton had functioned as the Bengals' clear backup running back with one of Bernard or Joe Mixon missing each of the last six games, but that role didn't bear much fruit. Over that span, Walton managed just 24 yards on 13 carries and hauled in five receptions for 41 yards. Though he'll continue to dress Sunday, Walton's snap count on offense will likely sink into the single digits, with the rookie instead expected to see most of his action on special teams.

Walton had one catch for 10 yards and two carries for seven yards in the Bengals' Week 8 win over the Bucs.
EDGE Analysis
Walton's catch helped keep a drive alive - he turned a 3rd-and-13 into a 4th-and-3, which the Bengals subsequently converted and later turned into a touchdown. But he only saw 10 snaps on offense, down from 14 the week before.

Walton had four carries for 10 yards in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. He wasn't targeted in the passing game.
EDGE Analysis
Almost all of Walton's snaps came late, too, when the game was well out of hand. Even with Gio Bernard out, Walton hasn't seen action on third downs that Bernard usually receives. Instead, Joe Mixon has simply stayed in the game on third down.

Walton lost a yard with each of his two carries during Sunday's 28-21 loss to Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Walton is averaging just a single yard per carry this season and, aside from 28 receiving yards in Week 4, hasn't offered much in the passing game. The Bengals haven't turned to the rookie much despite the absence of Giovani Bernard (knee). Bernard is reportedly nearing a return and so his condition is worth monitoring. If Bernard is out, Walton's likely few touches would seem to be more valuable Sunday against a Chiefs defense ranked 31st in the league with 5,4 yards per opponent carry.

The Bengals waived Thomas Rawls on Tuesday, thus removing a potential option to replace Walton as the backup behind Joe Mixon this week.
EDGE Analysis
The added sliver of job security might not translate into extra playing time, as Rawls didn't receive any snaps on offense. But Gio Bernard is expected to miss this week's game against the Steelers, so should anything happen to Mixon, Walton would be the sole remaining option in the backfield.

With Giovani Bernard (knee) inactive Sunday, the Bengals' Week 5 backfield will be comprised of Joe Mixon, Walton and Thomas Rawls, Geoff Hobson of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mixon is back in action following a knee procedure, but per Hobson's report, "it's unclear how much he'll be able to play with the 82-degree heat testing his conditioning." As a result, it's conceivable that Walton could see enough touches Sunday to help out those scrambling for running back help in Week 5. Rawls is presumably on hand hand to work in a backup/complementary role.

Walton is expected to remain the Bengals' top backup running back Sunday against the Dolphins with Joe Mixon (knee) returning from a two-game absence and Giovani Bernard (knee) likely to be sidelined for 2-to-4 weeks, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Mixon was out, Bernard stepped in as the Bengals' lead back, leaving Walton to handle the No. 2 role. Bernard essentially served as a three-down workhorse in both of those contests, as Walton only garnered seven touches (five carries, two receptions) while seeing the field for only 35 of a possible 138 offensive snaps (25 percent). Mixon should ultimately dominate the snaps much like Bernard had, but coach Marvin Lewis suggested that Mixon would be eased back into the mix after his conditioning dipped while he was sidelined with the injury. With that in mind, Walton might take on a slightly more expanded workload Sunday than he had in either of the previous two game, though probably not a large enough role for him to be a usable fantasy option in most settings.

Walton had five carries for nine yards and caught two passes (on four targets) for 28 yards in Sunday's win over the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
Walton played a season-high 28 snaps on offense and was on the field for the Bengals game-winning drive, with Gio Bernard out with an undisclosed injury. Joe Mixon has a decent chance of returning this week, and we don't know Bernard's status yet. Walton could get limited action again if either Mixon or Bernard has to sit, but if he reverts back to the third back, his playing time will be sparse.

Walton returned to Sunday's game against the Falcons after being evaluated for a possible concussion, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Joe Mixon (knee) out and Thomas Rawls inactive Sunday, Walton is working in a complementary role behind Giovani Bernard.
