Offensive coordinator Greg Roman confirmed Wednesday that Ingram is the Ravens' starting running back heading into the team's Week 1 matchup with the Dolphins. "We'll see who has the hot hand and feel it out...Mark's our starter," Roman said of the team's backfield situation. "I think everybody is going to contribute."
EDGE Analysis
The three-year, $15 million deal Ingram inked this offseason always made it a fairly safe bet that he would open the season atop the depth chart, but it's nice to hear the Ravens verify as much. While Lamar Jackson has expressed a desire for the Ravens to put more emphasis on the passing game in 2019, Baltimore is still expected to implement one of the more run-heavy attacks in the NFL this season with the speedy signal-caller running the offense. That sort of arrangement bodes well for a healthy Ingram's chances of re-emerging as a 200-carry back, even while Gus Edwards lingers as another reliable option between the tackles. The lone other back on the roster, rookie Justice Hill, offers a more dynamic alternative who also brings upside as a pass catcher, but Ingram has proven adept as a receiver in his own right and won't be collecting dust on passing downs.

Ingram wasn't spotted during warmups in advance of Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ingram's perch atop the Ravens' running back depth chart looks secure, so the the team will look to get his backups reps over the next two preseason contests with an eye toward establishing a complementary/change-of-pace pecking order.

Ingram may handle passing downs for the Ravens, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Signed to a three-year, $15.5 million contract, Ingram is a safe bet to open the season as Baltimore's lead back, though it isn't entirely clear when he will or won't be on the field. With no obvious choice on the roster for passing downs, the Ravens could use Ingram in those situations, which in turn would free up snaps on early downs for some combination of Gus Edwards, Justice Hill and Kenneth Dixon. Preseason games might provide a small hint about the workload division for Week 1.

Ingram intends to sign a three-year, $15 million contract with the Ravens, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old will head north after eight seasons in New Orleans, boasting a career mark of 4.5 yards per carry on the heels of four consecutive seasons at 4.6 or better. Ingram might find that life is a bit more difficult without Drew Brees, but there's a lot to be said for Lamar Jackson's ability to shift defensive attention away from the running backs. It's an excellent outcome from a fantasy perspective, as Ingram shouldn't have any trouble topping his 2018 mark of 11.5 carries per game in a backfield that otherwise consists of Gus Edwards and Kenneth Dixon. There's little question Ingram will be the lead runner in Baltimore, and he should also have a chance to earn some playing time on passing downs.

The Ravens have emerged as the favorites to sign Ingram, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ingram initially was optimistic about re-signing with New Orleans, but it became obvious negotiations didn't work out after the team reached an agreement Tuesday to sign Latavius Murray. The 29-year-old Ingram can focus on finding his next team, with Baltimore apparently leading the way even as some rumors connect the Ravens to Le'Veon Bell.

Ingram has already had discussions about re-signing with the Saints, Mark Inabinett of AL.com reports. "I've been talking to the Saints," Ingram said. "It's kind of like a thing where they say they want me back, I say, 'I want to be back,' it's just can we compromise on the value?"
EDGE Analysis
Ingram has a good thing going in the Bayou splitting work with Alvin Kamara behind an impressive offensive line, but it's hard to argue against a 29-year-old running back prioritizing guaranteed money above all else. While his recent comments suggest there's a chance he re-signs before the start of free agency, the more likely scenario involves Ingram testing out the open market, with the option to come back to New Orleans if he's disappointed by the money offered elsewhere. Given their tight cap situation, the Saints may be inclined to bring in a rookie or a cheaper veteran to complement Kamara in the backfield, rather than paying Ingram close to market value.

Ingram rushed nine times for 31 yards and brought in both of his targets for six yards during the Saints' 26-23 overtime loss to the Rams in Sunday's NFC Championship Game.
EDGE Analysis
Ingram filled his usual complementary role alongside Alvin Kamara, but he wasn't able to generate much on a yards-per-touch basis. Despite the lackluster finish to his season, the veteran back was impressive once again during this past regular season, averaging 4.7 yards per carry and logging six rushing touchdowns while adding 21 receptions and another score through the air in 12 games. Given that Ingram clearly still has plenty left in the tank, the impending unrestricted free agent figures to attract plenty of interest on the open market this offseason.

Ingram rushed nine times for 53 yards and brought in both of his targets for nine yards in the Saints' 20-14 divisional-round win over the Eagles on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Ingram accomplished the majority of his ground production on a 36-yard scamper early in the fourth quarter. He otherwise found running room to be at a premium, as the Eagles' front won the war at the line of scrimmage for a substantial portion of the contest. While his final line was a modest one, Ingram will nevertheless be an integral part of the game plan once again in next Sunday's championship game showdown versus the Rams.

Ingram rushed for 28 yards on five carries and added 15 yards on two catches during Sunday's 33-14 loss to Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
The Saints didn't have anything to play for Sunday, so the team rested Alvin Kamara and gave Ingram a light workload. He was solid with limited touches and that will, hopefully, up his confidence heading into the playoffs. The veteran back rattled off some monster games in November, but has run hot and cold -- along with the rest of the Saints' offense -- down the stretch. He maintains plenty of value as the more traditional power back in the Saints' stable to go along with Kamara's do-it-all capabilities.

Ingram is active for Sunday's game against the Panthers but may handle a lighter workload than normal, John DeShazier of the Saints' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Saints clinched the NFC's No. 1 seed in the postseason with a win over Pittsburgh last week, so it's anticipated the team will rest several key starters in a mostly meaningless regular-season finale. Top back Alvin Kamara (coach's decision) is included among the Saints' seven inactives, and it's possible that Ingram will only play a few series -- if at all -- before bowing out of the contest. Rather than Ingram, third-stringer Dwayne Washington instead looks like a better candidate to pace the New Orleans backfield in offensive snaps and touches.
