Taliaferro mostly worked behind Terrance West throughout the Ravens' offseason program, ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley reports.
EDGE Analysis
A 2014 fourth-round selection, Taliaferro has often served as Baltimore's goal-line/short-yardage back when healthy, but a foot injury limited him to just three games last season. He now finds himself on the roster bubble, with Justin Forsett, Javorius Allen and Kenneth Dixon all locks to make the team. Taliaferro's chances got a slight bump when it was announced that Trent Richardson (knee) needs arthroscopic surgery, but it appears West might be the real winner from that development. In any case, the two are likely just competing for the No. 4 spot on the depth chart, which means the battle could be determined on special teams.

Taliaferro will likely have to compete for a roster spot, CSN Mid-Atlantic reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Justin Forsett, Javorius Allen and Kenneth Dixon all considered roster locks, Taliaferro may end up competing with Trent Richardson, Terrence West and others for what will likely be just one roster (or practice squad) spot. Of course, there's always a chance injuries could take a toll on Baltimore's running back depth during training camp and the preseason. The 230-pound Taliaferro might be the most powerful runner on the roster, but he's been plagued by injuries since the Ravens selected him in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He seems to have made a full recovery from the foot injury that landed him on IR last last season.

Taliaferro (foot) could compete with Justin Forsett (arm) and Javorius Allen for playing time in 2016, the Ravens' official website reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taliaferro opened the 2015 season as Baltimore's starting running back, but a foot injury landed him on IR in October. He actually suffered the same fate the previous year, albeit later in the season. Given his injury woes and modest receiving skills, Taliaferro will likely enter training camp as the No. 3 running back, assuming he's healthy enough to participate.

Taliaferro (foot) has been placed on IR by the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
In a corresponding move, the team claimed fellow RB Raheem Mostert on waivers, with the news on Taliaferro cementing the status of Javorius Allen as the Ravens' No. 2 back behind Justin Forsett, who is dealing with an ankle injury.

Taliaferro (foot) did not practice Wednesday, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taliaferro's Week 6 status gains some import, with Justin Forsett dealing with an ankle injury in advance of Sunday's game against the 49ers. For now at least, Javorius Allen is the Ravens' healthiest backfield option.

Taliaferro (foot) is listed as inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Taliaferro had been listed as probable for the contest after practicing on a limited basis both Thursday and Friday. He'll sit out the afternoon contest, however, giving way to Javorius Allen to be the primary backup to starter Justin Forsett. Fantasy owners hoping to vulture a goal line touch from Taliaferro should quickly execute their contingency plan.

Taliaferro (foot) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Browns, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.
EDGE Analysis
After missing Wednesday's practice, Taliaferro was limited both Thursday and Friday. While Justin Forsett is the clear leader of Baltimore's backfield, the upcoming matchup is ideal for Taliaferro's role, as the Ravens are heavily favored to win against a team that can't stop the run. Of course, Taliaferro still has a modest ceiling, not to mention a very low floor.

Taliaferro (foot) returned to a limited practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
At this stage, Taliaferro is trending toward being available Sunday against the Browns, though both he and Javorius Allen are behind Justin Forsett in the Ravens' RB pecking order.

Taliaferro (foot) did not practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Taliaferro missed practice earlier this season with foot and knee issues, though it's unclear if his absence from practice Wednesday is indicative of a setback or simply maintenance-related.

Taliaferro had three carries for 13 yards and one catch for 11 yards in Thursday's 23-20 overtime win over the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Taliaferro still seems to be the preferred choice for goal-line and short-yardage work, but his grip on the No. 2 spot on the depth chart may be slipping. Rookie Javorius Allen had five carries for 19 yards, suggesting that he's more or less even with Taliaferro as co-No. 2 running backs. If lead back Justin Forsett were to suffer an injury, his two backups would likely both take on big roles, with Taliaferro more focused on inside running and goal-line/short-yardage situations, whereas Allen would get some of the early-down work and nearly all of the passing-down work.
