Guy (shoulder/elbow/knee) was a limited participant in Friday's practice, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The trio of injuries is quite concerning, but his ability to return to practice Friday after sitting out Thursday's session is an encouraging sign. If Guy is forced to sit out Monday's matchup against the Jets, however, Deatrich Wise (knee) is next up to start at defensive end.

Guy (shoulder/elbow/knee) was a non-participant during the Patriots' practice session Thursday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
New England has been handed a rash of injuries along its defensive interior, with Deatrich Wise (knee) and Carl Davis (concussion) both dealing with issues at the moment, as well as Beau Allen (leg) having recently been placed on season-ending IR. Guy himself is confronting multiple injuries at once, and it was evident Sunday against the Bills as he played a season-low 20 defensive snaps. Prior to that, the 30-year-old defensive tackle had averaged 32.7 snaps per game over his first six appearances of 2020.

Guy racked up a season-high eight tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 13-9 win over the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
Guy doubled his previous season high of four tackles in Week 12, but the starting defensive end still owns just one sack through 11 games.

Guy racked up four tackles (two solo), one sack and a fumble recovery in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Guy picked up his first sack of the season and he's now recorded four tackles in three consecutive contests, but the Patriots defense fell back to earth against an ample Ravens offense led by quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Guy will receive a $400,000 bonus in 2019 to make up for a contract incentive he narrowly missed in 2018, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Guy played 49.6 percent of defensive snaps in 2018, landing a tick shy of a sizable bonus in the second season of his four-year, $14.4 million contract. The Patriots decided to reward him for surpassing expectations, as the 29-year-old piled up 59 tackles (25 solo), 11 quarterback hits and a sack while starting 15 of 16 games. Guy will never be dominant as a pass rusher, but his strong work against the run makes him far more valuable than the contract suggests.

Guy logged his first sack of the season in Sunday's 27-24 victory over the Steelrs.
EDGE Analysis
Guy added seven tackles (four solo) to go along with his sack. His tackle total marked a season-high, so it was an all-around effective day for the 27-year-old. He did all his damage across 49 defensive snaps (73.0 percent).

Guy will sign a four-year, $20 million contract with the Patriots, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Guy has worked his way into a couple productive seasons the last two years with the Ravens. He posted his best campaign in 2015, recording 46 tackles (29 solo) and 4.5 sacks in that season. Entering his seventh season, the 26-year-old could slot in as a defensive end opposite Trey Flowers or could see time in a defensive tackle rotation as well moving from a 3-4 to a 4-3 scheme.

Guy was waived by the Chargers on Tuesday, Eric Williams of ESPN.com reports. Guy appeared in 10 games with the Chargers last season, but he did not play in any games during the current campaign. He figures to garner a look from teams looking for defensive line help.

Guy had to leave Thursday's game with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return, U-T San Diego reports. It's unlikely that Guy will return to the field since the Chargers will need his services throughout the long haul of the regular season. He's currently in line to provide depth behind the defensive line starters.
