Kyle Williams (concussion) said he will be cleared for the playoffs.
Williams sustained his concussion in Week 16 and the Niners don't play again until Jan. 14. He's been symptom free for a couple days now. Williams and Ted Ginn figure to rotate opposite Michael Crabtree in the playoffs.

49ers WR Kyle Williams (questionable, concussion) missed Friday's practice.
Just based on the fact that Williams didn't practice at any point this week, our assumption is that he will not play against the Rams. The 49ers have openly discussed starting Brett Swain opposite Michael Crabtree in Week 17.

Kyle Williams (concussion) and Ted Ginn (ankle) were both absent from 49ers practice for the second straight day Thursday.
The 49ers aren't going to need Williams and Ginn to subdue the Rams, and will almost certainly hold both out in an effort to get near 100 percent health for the playoffs. Neither will be a fantasy option if able to suit up.

Kyle Williams (concussion) and Ted Ginn (ankle) were held out of 49ers practice Wednesday.
The 49ers look like they'll be thin at receiver as they try to lock up a first-round bye this weekend, but it shouldn't be an issue against the woebegone Rams. Both Williams and Ginn should be fine for the playoffs.

The head injury Kyle Williams sustained in Week 16 has been diagnosed as a concussion.
Williams' concussion does not appear to be severe, but he still could be held out of Sunday's regular season finale. The Niners figure to take an extremely run-heavy approach against the Rams, using plenty of one-wide sets featuring Michael Crabtree. They'll need Williams as a starting wideout in the playoffs. He's officially No. 2 on the depth chart now after Braylon Edwards was released.

49ers WR Kyle Williams played a career-high 34 snaps in Week 13.
The fallout from Braylon Edwards' (knee, shoulder) absence. Ted Ginn also played 34 snaps in the blowout while Michael Crabtree led the way with 40. This offense only supports one fantasy receiver, and Crabtree is it. Williams and Ginn are poor bets to repeat their Week 13 performances regardless of Edwards' status.

Kyle Williams caught two passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's easy win over the Rams.
Williams made perhaps the best play by any 49ers' wide receiver this season in the fourth quarter, hauling in a short pass in traffic before turning on the jets and sprinting 56 yards to the end zone. The score was his third of the year, and second in three weeks. Impressive, but Williams was targeted just twice today, and shouldn't be a factor once Braylon Edwards (knee, shoulder) returns.

Kyle Williams caught five passes for 54 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.
Williams was the clear No. 3 receiver and primary target on a lot of third-down plays. It's a major surprise as he came into today with a total of four catches for 42 yards on the season. We'd make him prove it again in terms of both production and usage before considering an add.

Kyle Williams hauled in a 12-yard touchdown catch in San Francisco's 27-24 loss to the Cowboys in Week 2.
It was an impressive grab over Mike Jenkins, as Alex Smith floated the pass and Williams made a spectacular one-handed grab falling out of bounds. We would have liked to have seen more than one target for Williams with Michael Crabtree out and Braylon Edwards sidelined for a majority of the game. There's upside here, but certainly not enough to warrant fantasy consideration.
