Pitts reeled in three of four targets for 47 yards during Sunday's 16-13 win at Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
For a third consecutive contest, Pitts logged fewer than 60 percent of the snaps (52, to be precise) after earning at least that many in the first four games of the season. His target count also tied his second fewest in a game through seven weeks, resulting in his sixth performance with less than 50 yards to date. Fellow tight end Jonnu Smith notched one more snap than Pitts (35-34) on Sunday en route to three catches (on three targets) for 27 yards. As long as Pitts continues to split the workload at the position, he'll be tough to warrant weekly lineup consideration in a number of formats.

Pitts caught four of six targets for 43 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Commanders.
EDGE Analysis
Pitts caught a first-down pass and a touchdown on the Falcons' opening drive, but he was quiet after that. It was still another encouraging performance for the uber-talented tight end, who's now tallied 11 receptions for 130 yards and a score over the last two games after totaling just 11 receptions for 121 yards and no touchdowns across his first four appearances of the season. While he's trending in the right direction, Pitts' production hasn't been prolific yet this season, and there are still major concerns with his fantasy profile. However, if you used a middle-round pick on Pitts, you'll likely have to roll the dice on a weekly basis, hoping the 2021 first-round pick can finally reach his potential on a consistent basis.

Pitts brought in seven of 11 targets for 87 yards in the Falcons' 21-19 win over the Texans on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Pitts was finally deployed in a manner befitting his talent, leading to team-high figures in receptions, receiving yards and targets. The third-year tight end's stat sheet was his best across the board this season as well, but his week-to-week production is likely to continue to fluctuate in head coach Arthur Smith's run-centric offense.

Pitts caught two of four targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 23-7 loss to Jacksonville.
EDGE Analysis
Over the past three weeks, Pitts has caught seven passes (on 18 targets) for 77 yards, while Jonnu Smith has secured 15 receptions (on 20 targets) for 179 yards. Opposing defenses are certainly keying on Pitts more than Smith, but this trend is still worrisome. Head coach Arthur Smith didn't shoot down the idea that Pitts still isn't 100 percent after his season-ending knee injury last year. "To Kyle's credit, he's never made an excuse out of anything," Smith told Josh Kendall of The Athletic on Monday. For now, fantasy managers probably want to look elsewhere for help at tight end, but Pitts still should be rostered in most leagues with the hope that he breaks out eventually.

Pitts caught five of nine targets for 41 yards during Sunday's 20-6 loss to the Lions. He also rushed once for minus-4 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Pitts led the team in targets, receptions and receiving yards, but it still wasn't the breakout performance fantasy managers were hoping for. If the tight end starts to see this type of volume on a weekly basis, he'll quickly reassert himself as a must-start player moving forward. However, it's worth noting that this was only the third time in Pitts' career that he's garnered nine or more targets. Pitts continues to have immense real-world talent, but he's been a frustrating fantasy option early in his career.

Pitts caught two of five targets for 15 yards during Sunday's 25-24 win over the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Pitts saw two more targets than he did in the season opener, but his production plummeted. The 2021 first-round pick has all the talent in the world, but he's been an extremely disappointing fantasy option since a dazzling rookie campaign in which he posted 68 receptions (on 110 targets) for 1,026 yards and one touchdown. He's accumulated just 32 catches on 67 targets for 415 yards over his last 12 appearances. He remains a focal point of Atlanta's passing game, but it's currently difficult to trust any Falcons receiving option in the team's extremely run-heavy scheme.

Pitts caught two of three targets for 44 yards during Sunday's 24-10 win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Aside from a 26-yard reception being called back due to illegal motion, Pitts was quiet for most of the day. However, he made his presence felt with a huge 34-yard catch in the fourth quarter which was quickly followed up by Tyler Allgeier's second touchdown. As expected, Atlanta leaned heavily on the run, limiting Pitts' and Drake London's opportunities; however, both one-time first-round picks should have more chances moving forward.

Pitts recorded one reception on one target for nine yards in Friday's 13-13 tie against the Bengals in Friday's preseason action.
EDGE Analysis
Pitts played on Atlanta's first offensive possession with the top unit and recorded his lone reception on the third play of the game. The results are less important than the fact that Pitts played in his first game action since undergoing surgery on his MCL to end his 2022 campaign. He should be ready to lead the Falcons' receiving corps alongside Drake London for a Week 1 matchup against the Panthers.

Pitts (knee) didn't participate in the team portions of Wednesday's practice, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Falcons have been easing Pitts back into the mix as he bounces back from an MCL injury, but coach Arthur Smith noted Wednesday that the team plans to "put a little more on (the tight end) as we ramp him up," adding "we'll push him a little more next week." With that in mind, it doesn't seem likely that Pitts will see action in Friday's preseason opener against the Dolphins, but the 2021 first-rounder continues to progress and is on track to be a key part of Atlanta's offense come Week 1.

Pitts (knee) ran routes against defenders Monday for the first time this summer, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Falcons are easing Pitts into training camp after last year's MCL injury, with coach Arthur Smith noting Monday that the tight end is on track with his "return to play" plan. Smith also suggested Pitts could take snaps this preseason, though it'll nonetheless be surprising if the 2021 first-round pick makes more than a token appearance. Concern regarding Pitts' fantasy prospects for 2023 has more to do with his lack of production pre-injury last year than any doubt about his Week 1 status; at this point it seems he's healthy and the Falcons are just being cautious.
