Alexander had four tackles (four solo) and two sacks in Sunday's win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander spent much of his time behind the line of scrimmage Sunday as three of his four tackles were either a sack or tackle for loss. The linebacker has seen an increased role in the past four games, playing on at least 74 percent of defensive snaps and tallying 24 tackles (20 solo) over that stretch. In nine games, Alexander has 38 tackles (30 solo), three sacks and one interception.

Alexander notched four tackles (three solo) and a sack in a 36-27 win Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander saw his most action since Week 1 after missing a chunk of the season with an elbow injury. After easing back in with 27 percent of the snaps in Week 7, he played 43 percent of them in Week 8. Alexander will hope to expand his role even further in Week 9 against the Falcons.

Alexander (elbow) was activated from injured reserve Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander sustained an elbow injury during the Saints' season opener but returned to practice this week and will be available for Monday's game against Seattle. The 27-year-old racked up two solo tackles in Week 1, and he should immediately reclaim his starting job.

Alexander (elbow) was designated to return from injured reserve Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander has been on injured reserve since suffering the elbow injury in the season opener, but he's now been cleared to return to practice. The move opens a 21-day practice window for the veteran linebacker to be reinstated to the active roster.

The Saints placed Alexander (elbow) on injured reserve Friday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander emerged from the season opener with an elbow issue, keeping him on the sideline during Week 2 prep. New Orleans ultimately deemed that he won't be available for at least the next three weeks by placing him on IR, and while he technically can return as soon as Week 5 at Washington, the team may delay his return with a bye immediately after that contest. If so, the Saints could be without Alexander until Monday, Oct. 25 in Seattle. In the meantime, second-year pro Zack Baun is the likely candidate to step in for Alexander on the weak side.

Alexander (elbow) did not practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear exactly when Alexander picked up the injury, though presumably it came during one of his 34 defensive snaps in Week 1 against Green Bay. The injury may jeopardize his status for Sunday's matchup against Carolina, though Alexander will look to get some practice time in later this week and return to his typical role as one of the team's primary outside linebackers.

Alexander (Achilles) claims he is at full strength, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
EDGE Analysis
Achilles injuries are tough to come back from, but Alexander said he's "more explosive" than he was prior to the Achilles injury. What level the linebacker can still play at remains to be seen, but he figures to be at minimum a key component in the team's front seven for the upcoming season. Of course, with Alexander the question is how long he will be able to stay on the field as he has not played a full season since 2016.

The Saints signed Alexander to a one-year contract Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander split time between San Francisco and New Orleans last season, with the former dealing him to the latter ahead of the trade deadline. Between the two locales, he racked up 57 tackles, four pass defenses, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one sack in 12 games. However, his campaign came to an unceremonious end when he suffered a torn Achilles in Week 16. Alexander amazingly got a clean bill of health a little more than two weeks ago, and he now returns to The Big Easy to serve next to starting middle linebacker Demario Davis.

Alexander has officially been cleared from his Achilles injury and visited with the Saints on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander was sidelined all of the 2020 season with the Saints due to the injury, but could be back in New Orleans for 2021. The linebacker has only played in 26 games over the past four seasons but could add a valuable veteran presence to a locker room.

Alexander is making significant improvements in leg strength and has resumed non-contact football drills, Kyle Mosley of Sports Illustrated reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alexander continues to distance himself from a torn Achilles he sustained last December. While there have yet to be any reports of him receiving interest on the free-agent market, there are presumably a number of teams keeping tabs on the 26-year-old linebacker that averaged over 111 tackles per year for Tampa from 2015 to 2017.
