Biermann worked out for the Bucs on Tuesday, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The parade of players with ties to the current Bucs staff from their days in Atlanta continued with Biermann, whose visit was prompted by Tampa having lost defensive end Jacquies Smith to a torn ACL in the opener. Biermann played for current Bucs defensive coordinator Mike Smith from 2008-14 when the latter was Falcons head coach, amassing 21 sacks during that period. The 31-year-old was released by the Bills during final cuts in early September after an eight-year tenure in Atlanta that saw him amass 333 tackles (218 solo), 23.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a pair of interceptions. Although he wasn't signed following the workout, the veteran figures to remain within the team's sights for the foreseeable future.

Biermann was cut Friday, BuffaloBills.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Biermann has been in the league since 2008 and had the chance to offer a veteran presence to a young defense, but in the end the Bills ended up siding with youth in a number of cuts.

Biermann is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Bills, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
EDGE Analysis
Biermann adds a much-needed veteran presence at outside linebacker in wake of Buffalo's string of injuries to Manny Lawson (pectoral), Shaq Lawson (shoulder) and IK Enemkpali (knee). Now 30 years old, Biermann finished last season with 55 tackles, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble for the Falcons.

Biermann tallied three total tackles in the Week 17 loss to the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Biermann finished the 2015 season with 55 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble. He was working on a one-year contract, and while he likely played well to earn another contract, there's no guarantee it will be with the Falcons.

The Falcons have re-signed Biermann, ESPN.com reports. Biermann, who notched 75 tackles and 4.5 sacks for the Falcons this past season, returns to further bolster an Atlanta defensive line that has also added Adrian Clayborn and O'Brien Schofield to the mix this offseason.

Biermann had the best statistical season of his career in 2014, recording 77 tackles, 4.5 sacks, a forced fumble and three pass defensed. Biermann had a great bounce back year one season after being limited to two games with a torn Achilles. He picked a great year to have a healthy and productive season, as he'll be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The Falcons are expected to have a fair amount of cap room this offseason, so they'll likely pursue Biermann if they can get him for the right price.

Biermann racked up five total tackles and 1.5 sacks against the Buccaneers on Sunday. Sunday's game was Biermann's best performance of the season, as he registered his first sack on the year. He'll look to build on that performance in Week 11 against Cam Newton and the Panthers.

Biermann (Achilles) tallied one tackle against the Titans on Saturday. Biermann appeared hesitant to go all out at times, and it doesn't look like he's completely comfortable with his surgically repaired Achilles tendon. He'll likely get some work in Thursday's preseason finale, and he's still expected to start at defensive end, but he could lose playing time if the injury doesn't let him go all out for the full 60 minutes.

Falcons DE/OLB Kroy Biermann (Achilles') will be limited at the beginning of training camp. Biermann tore his Achilles' in Week 2. He'll have every third practice day off and won't play in at least the first preseason game. Coach Mike Smith fully expects Biermann to be 100 percent for the opener. The Falcons need Biermann to return to form, as he's one of their most experienced edge players.
