Atlanta and Tandy agreed to a contract Monday, Will McFadden of the Falcon's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tandy, a former Buccaneer and experienced veteran, brings depth to Atlanta's safety position following a season-ending injury to Keanu Neal (knee). Having played in 84 games with 156 tackles, 14 pass defenses, eight interceptions and a sack to his name, Tandy should play a key rotational role in Atlanta's defense this season.

The Buccaneers released Tandy (hamstring) on Saturday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tandy has been a regular in the Buccaneers secondary since he was selected in the sixth round of the 2012 draft, but a recent hamstring injury may have forced the hands of the front office. He'll aim to latch on with another organization, likely as a depth safety.

Tandy won't return to Friday's game after injuring his hamstring, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tandy injured his hamstring in the second half of Friday's game and is without a recovery timetable for the time being. Look for Josh Robinson and Isaiah Johnson to see some extra snaps while Tandy is out.

Tandy, who logged an interception in Wednesday's final camp practice, was impressive throughout the entirety of training camp, Carmen Vitali of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The versatile veteran's pick in Wednesday's session served as a fitting cap on an impressive summer. Tandy has been a valued utility player in the Bucs secondary for several seasons now, providing solid defense against both the run and pass and more than holding his own during starting stints. After posting a slew of career-best figures in 2016, Tandy was relegated to much more of a reserve role last season, but his experience could certainly come in handy again to open the regular season if the foot injury suffered by Justin Evans lingers.

Tandy re-signed with the Buccaneers on a two-year contract Wednesday, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tandy has been a versatile piece of Tampa's secondary for years now but is mainly regarded as a backup-caliber player. The 29-year-old will remain off the IDP radar in advance of his seventh professional season.

Tandy managed six tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 31-24 win over the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran safety saw extended action in the regular-season final due to T.J. Ward's early exit with a knee injury. Tandy ultimately finished the contest with a season high in tackles, affording him a strong finish to what was somewhat of a disappointing campaign. The 28-year-old had managed career highs in total tackles (57), solo stops (46), interceptions (four) and passes defensed (nine) in 2016, but the additions of Ward and second-round pick Justin Evans (IR-ankle) notably cut into his opportunities this past season. Now heading into unrestricted free agency, the Buccaneers are likely to allow Tandy to test the waters before deciding whether to try and bring him back on a cap-friendly deal.

Tandy posted four tackles (two solo) in Monday night's 24-21 loss to the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran equaled the season high in tackles he'd just established in Week 13 in the overtime loss to the Packers. With fellow safety Justin Evans exiting Monday's game early with an ankle injury and potentially headed to injured reserve as per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Tandy could see some extra run over the last two games of the season. The tail end of the campaign was a very fruitful one for the West Virginia product last season, as he posted 31 stops over the final three contests of 2016 while also seeing increased opportunity.

Tandy (hip) did not register any statistics in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Bills and was in on only five snaps.
EDGE Analysis
Tandy was making his return from a two-game absence but ended up barely seeing the field. Meanwhile, fellow veteran T.J. Ward logged 24 snaps at the free safety position, significantly outpacing Tandy on the afternoon. With the Buccaneers' secondary struggling in all facets, it remains to be seen if head coach Dirk Koetter will have Tandy back to his usual volume of playing time in Week 8 against the Panthers.

Tandy (hip) is active for Sunday's Week 7 tilt against the Bills, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tandy will suit up for the first time since Week 4 and reclaim his usual starting free safety spot. The fifth-year veteran could conceivably cede some snaps to rookie Justin Evans, who has seen plenty of extra playing time during Tandy's absence.

Tandy (hip) practiced in full capacity Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tandy hasn't played since Week 4 against the Giants, but a full practice is a good sign. However, if he is able to suit up, he may not face a full workload since it would work well to split snaps with T.J. Ward who is also rehabbing a hip injury. Tandy shouldn't be considered an IDP threat until he can play almost a full snap count, and that likely won't happen this week.
