Bucs GM Mark Dominik shot down speculation of a Josh Johnson trade Tuesday. The Bucs have no interest in dealing a top backup with full knowledge of Greg Olson's offense. 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh will have to wait a year before courting his former University of San Diego star.

Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times would be "shocked" if the Bucs entertain the notion of trading backup QB Josh Johnson. "Unless someone knocks their socks off," Holder adds. Johnson's name is being dragged through the rumor mill again after 49ers coach and good friend Jim Harbaugh said he'd be open to adding a veteran to his QB mix. The Bucs don't want to lose their high-quality backup with no other quarterback ready to step in behind Josh Freeman.

Bucs QB Josh Johnson is still holding out for a trade to the 49ers after coach Jim Harbaugh picked up Colin Kaepernick in the draft. "I'd get to come home," Johnson said, "be with my family, play for a coach that changed my life and play for a team that I grew up loving." Johnson realizes the move isn't especially likely with one year left on his contract as Josh Freeman's backup. Once he hits free agency in 2012, though, the Johnson-Harbaugh reunion figures to go down.
