Allen made six tackles (three solo) and a sack in Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
This was the highest tackle count for the rookie first-round pick. Allen now has three sacks on the season -- all three came over the last three games -- and he ranks third among rookies behind Chase Winovich (Patriots) and Brian Burns (Panthers) in the category.

Allen notched four tackles (three solo), two sacks and one forced fumble during Thursday's 20-7 win over the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Allen recorded the first regular-season sacks of his career during the Week 3 win. The rookie first-round pick brought Marcus Mariota down twice, and on one occasion stripped the ball from the quarterback's hands and forced a fumble. Allen will work to follow up on his breakout performance Week 4 in Denver.

Allen will start at defensive end in Sunday's Week 2 matchup with the Texans, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen is drawing the start in place of Yannick Ngakoue (hamstring). The first-round pick saw 51 snaps while starting in place of the injured Calais Campbell in Week 1, but only registered two tackles (one solo) on the day. The rookie should see a significant workload once again in Houston.

Allen will start at defensive end Sunday versus the Chiefs, Phillip Heilman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen showed flashes of dominance during the preseason and will look to carry his momentum over Week 1. His opportunity comes due to the absence of Marcell Dareus (elbow). With the rookie first-round pick slotting into a starting defensive end role, Calais Campbell will temporarily shift to defensive tackle.

Allen had four tackles (three solo) in Thursday's preseason game against Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Allen played 27 defensive snaps and had two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits as he worked with the starting defense for the first time in-game. The 22-year-old has illustrated his first-round talent and playmaking ability in what's otherwise been a quiet preseason in Jacksonville.

Allen (knee) had a tackle for loss in Thursday's preseason loss to the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Allen started and played only 20 defensive snaps in the preseason opener, but he made his lone tackle count as he brought down Gus Edwards for a two-yard loss. The 22-year-old dealt with a knee injury during minicamp but he was able to flash his first-round athleticism during his brief performance Thursday.

Allen (knee) worked on the side at practice Thursday, Phillip Heilman of The Florida Times-Union reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen wasn't expected to participate in the team's minicamp. It's still unclear how serious the injury is, but the rookie's upgrade in status from a week ago bodes well. It's also entirely possible that the Jaguars are being cautious with their first-round pick, but more information as to Allen's injury should surface closer to training camp in late July.

Allen (knee) is not likely to participate in the team's minicamp, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen was first reported to have a bruised knee a few weeks ago and it remains unclear if the issue could be long term or if the team is merely being cautious with their first-round pick. If Allen ultimately is held out of minicamp he'll have several weeks to recover before training camp begins.

Head coach Doug Marrone said Allen is nursing a bruised knee and won't practice Thursday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the severity of Allen's situation isn't entirely clear, it's a good sign that the No. 7 overall pick in the draft isn't immediately being shut down for either a short- or long-term period of time. In fact, it's possible his absence from Thursday's practice is entirely precautionary. We'll know more as the final two-plus weeks of OTAs unfold in the coming month.

The Jaguars selected Allen in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, seventh overall.
EDGE Analysis
Allen could have been a second-round selection had he left Kentucky after his junior season. Instead, he returned to Lexington and turned himself into a top-10 pick by winning the Bronko Nagurski Award as a senior, racking up 17.0 sacks and 21.5 tackles for loss along with forcing five fumbles along the way. Powerful with long arms, Allen is a force off the edge as a stand-up outside linebacker with the size (6-foot-4 7/8, 262 pounds) to set the edge and hold up against the run. He'll have to adjust to the Jaguars' 4-3 scheme after playing in a 3-4 at Kentucky, but Allen has all the tools necessary to be an impact starter from Day 1.
