Under-the-Radar Route Runners To Target Late rotoballer.com Tue 8/21/18 4:58 AM

Often times, what draws spectators and fantasy enthusiasts to a wide receiver is their size, their speed, their ability to reach over defenders and snatch balls out of the air, and their ability to score touchdowns. That's all well and good, but rarely do we look at what makes a wide receiver truly special -; their ability to run routes.   Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney once said the wide receiver position is one of the worst-coached in football because you just can't teach efficiency, [...]

Paul Richardson (WR, WAS) - 2018 Fantasy Football Draft Sleeper rotoballer.com Sun 8/19/18 8:35 AM

BALLER MOVE: Target ~160 CURRENT ADP: ~165 ANALYSIS: Washington Redskins wide receiver Paul Richardson is a burner. Now calling Washington home, Richardson will be on the receiving end of Alex Smith's passes. Hence, fantasy owners will instantly make the Tyreek Hill comparison. Obviously, Washington is not Kansas City, so we cannot simply pencil Richardson in for the 1,183 yards and seven receiving TDs Hill put up with Smith a season ago. However, we can look at his 1.33 fantasy points [...]

Wide Receiver Stat Sleepers - Fantasy Points Per Target rotoballer.com Sun 8/19/18 4:30 AM

How much value to place on targets is one of the biggest problems fantasy owners face when it comes to evaluating wide receivers. The logical assumption is that you can't catch a ball that isn't thrown your direction; meaning more targets equal more opportunities to produce. But, go ask Demaryius Thomas owners how that worked out for him last season. Despite seeing 140 targets (10th most in the league) Thomas finished 23rd at the receiver position in fantasy points (16th in PPR scoring).  Meanw[...]

Stop that Hype Train! Paul Richardson (WR, WAS) rotoballer.com Thu 8/16/18 4:30 AM

After four seasons in Seattle, wide receiver Paul Richardson signed a five-year, $40 million deal with Washington in free agency to join up with a new look offense that features quarterback Alex Smith replacing former Redskin and current Viking Kirk Cousins. Coming off his best season in the NFL, Richardson has been on plenty of sleeper lists this off-season, but is the former second-round pick worth that hype? Will he find a place in Washington's receiving corps, or will Richardson fade into[...]

Josh Doctson Back To Full Team Work rotoballer.com Wed 8/8/18 4:24 AM

Washington Redskins wide receiver Josh Doctson (foot and shoulder) was on the field Tuesday with the full team. The reports also say he was running hard. The significance is that the bruised foot sounded like it would keep him out of the main parts of practice and limited to individual work. Doctson is working past both a shoulder and foot injuries (on the same play). When healthy, he is expected to be the #2 [...]

Josh Doctson Is Fine rotoballer.com Thu 8/2/18 8:47 AM

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said wide receiver Josh Doctson (shoulder) is fine after he had an injury scare in practice on Wednesday. It's great news for the third-year receiver, who is expected to be the No. 2 wideout in this offense behind Jamison Crowder in 2018. Doctson only played in two games in his rookie season but caught 35 passes for 502 yards and six touchdowns last year. A breakout could be coming with new quarterback Alex Smith now in town.

Josh Doctson's Injury Isn't Serious rotoballer.com Wed 8/1/18 10:37 AM

It looks like Washington Redskins wide receiver Josh Doctson (shoulder) is dealing with an AC joint sprain/shoulder bruise after injuring himself in practice Wednesday. It's a day-to-day type of injury, so Doctson should be just fine. After a lost rookie season due to injury, Doctson had 35 catches for 502 yards and six touchdowns in his sophomore season and is expected to be a big part of the offense in 2018 as the No. 2 receiver behind Jamison Crowder.
