After holding Allen without a passing touchdown in their previous meeting, the ferocious Jets defense gave him trouble early in this one, as Buffalo punted on each of its first two possessions for the first time in 18 games. The Bills punted on their next three drives as well before the Jets gifted them a fourth-down conversion with an encroachment penalty, and Allen capitalized by capping that drive with a 24-yard touchdown pass to Dawson Knox in the final minute of the first half. After the Jets tied the game early in the third, Allen answered with a five-yard touchdown run as the Bills took the lead for good. The dual-threat quarterback has thrown 26 touchdowns and rushed for another six heading into a Week 15 home game against the Dolphins.

One of those did lead to a late second-half fumble by Allen at the Patriots' 41-yard line, but New England was unable to convert the opportunity into points. Otherwise, Allen put together his second straight two-touchdown performance with second-quarter eight-yard scoring tosses to Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. Allen and his teammates now get some much-needed time off ahead of a Week 14 home showdown against the Jets on Sunday, Dec. 11.

Allen logged his first full practice Monday since suffering a right elbow injury against the Jets in Week 9, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Despite being limited at practice over the past three weeks due to an elbow injury he suffered in the team's Week 9 loss to the Jets, Allen still has suited up for three straight games, leading the Bills to a 2-1 record. During that stretch, Allen has completed 63.4 percent of his passes for 780 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. The issue doesn't appear to be impacting his throwing ability too much, but it's a positive sign to see the superstar quarterback return to full practices for the first time in a month. Allen shouldn't have any limitations heading into Thursday's divisional showdown against New England.

While his Thanksgiving performance was somewhat marred by another red-zone interception on Buffalo's first drive of the second half, Allen was clutch when it counted, finding Stefon Diggs on a five-yard TD strike with just under three minutes left in the fourth quarter before hitting his No. 1 receiver again for a 39-yard gain with only 23 seconds left to help set up Tyler Bass' game-winning field goal. It's the first time in five games since the Bills' bye that Allen has produced three or more touchdowns, giving him some much-needed momentum heading into a crucial AFC East road tilt against the Patriots in Week 13.

Assuming he logs another capped practice Wednesday -- or, better yet, gets back to full participation -- Allen should be good to go for Thursday's game at Detroit.

Unlike last week, there's no uncertainty surrounding the status of Allen's right elbow ahead of kickoff. However, due to a Lake Effect Snow Warning in the Buffalo area, the NFL moved the Bills' Week 11 home matchup to a neutral site, with the same start time of 1:00 p.m. ET. Allen thus will be taking on a Cleveland defense that has given up the seventh-most yards per attempt (7.6) to opposing quarterbacks this season in the cozy confines of Ford Field.
