Johnny Knox (back surgery) is wearing a restrictive back brace until mid-March. Knox tweeted a picture of the brace, which covers his entire torso. Asked if he anticipated being able to play in 2012, Knox responded that he was focusing on getting back to 100 percent first. He's highly questionable for training camp this summer.

Johnny Knox (back) will be facing a 3-4 month recovery if his Monday surgery is successful. Typically there's no reason to expect an operation not to be successful, but Knox is undergoing a complicated procedure to stabilize his vertebra. He's still likely to ultimately emerge healthy, however, and should tentatively be expected to be ready for training camp. A better idea of his status will emerge in the next few days.

Johnny Knox will have surgery Monday to stabilize a vertebra in his back. Knox is obviously done for the season. The good news is that the early prognosis on his career and quality of life is positive despite the scary injury. Earl Bennett, Roy Williams and Dane Sanzenbacher will finish out the year as the Bears' top-three wideouts. Knox's third season ends with 37 catches for 727 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games.

Johnny Knox was taken off the field in an ambulance with an apparently severe mid-back injury in the first quarter Sunday. He was taken off the field on a backboard and a cart. The injury happened at the end of a 17-yard reception on a collision with Seahawks SS Kam Chancellor. Knox's body was literally bent backward on the play and he was immediately ruled out for the rest of the game, which can't be a good sign.

Johnny Knox caught three passes for 37 yards in Chicago's Week 14 loss to the Broncos. Knox was Caleb Hanie's most targeted wideout for the third straight game, but unfortunately that comes out to just 12 catches for 235 yards in three weeks. That's enough for WR3 consideration in deeper PPR leagues, but relying on any facet of the Bears' passing attack right now is a good way to get burned.

Johnny Knox led the Bears with 97 yards and a touchdown on three receptions against the Chargers in Week 11. Knox burned Antoine Cason for 42 yards down to the 1-yard line and later pulled in a 24-yard pass against double coverage in the back of the end zone. The bad news is that he saw just five targets compared to nine for Earl Bennett and eight for Roy Williams. Knox can't be trusted against the Raiders in Week 12.

Johnny Knox caught one pass for 18 yards in the Bears' Week 10 win over the Bears. He now has been held under 20 yards in two straight games. Knox has plenty of remaining potential as a deep threat, but the Bears aren't getting him the rock. He finished Week 10 with two targets despite getting the start.

Johnny Knox caught just one pass for 14 yards in the Bears' Week 10 game against the Eagles. He had just one target tonight, and with Earl Bennett back it's just one more obstacle to fantasy relevance. Earl Bennett is the only Bears receiver to own in most formats.

Johnny Knox caught three passes for 53 yards on six targets in Sunday's win over the Bucs. A typical day for the Bears' No. 3 receiver, who has now been held to three or fewer catches in six of his first seven games. With Roy Williams "getting on track" this afternoon, Knox won't be worth starting in fantasy leagues any time soon.
