Bosa (foot) restructured his contract and will remain with the Chargers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scheduled for $22 million in non-guaranteed compensation in 2024 and $25.36 million next year, Bosa was oft-mentioned as a potential cap casualty or trade target. He and fellow edge rusher Khalil Mack both ended up restructuring their contacts before roster bonuses were due later this week, giving them a third season to work together chasing quarterbacks. Mack has played in every game since joining the team, while Bosa has missed 20 of a possible 34 contests, including the final seven games of the 2023 season due to a foot sprain. The 28-year-old returned to practice on a limited basis in late December, so it's entirely possible he's already back to full health/strength before the start of offseason. A healthier year from Bosa would go a long way, though the Chargers still appear frightfully thin in the front seven apart from their duo of star edge rushers.

Bosa (foot) will not play Sunday against the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
The Chargers won't activate Bosa off injured reserve, and his season is over with Los Angeles already eliminated from playoff contention. After appearing in just five games due to injuries last season, Bosa played in only nine contests this year, recording 6.5 sacks. He's missed 20 games over the last two years.

Bosa (foot) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa was able to practice in a limited fashion throughout the week, but he's not ready to return to the field just yet. The 28-year-old edge rusher has missed Los Angeles' last five games with this foot issue, and with the Chargers out of playoff contention, the team could very well shut down Bosa for the remainder of the year.

The Chargers designated Bosa (foot) for return from injured reserve Thursday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The transaction opens up a 21-day window in which Bosa can be evaluated in practice before the Chargers would have to add him to the 53-man roster or keep him on IR for the remainder of the season. Given that he hasn't played since Week 11 and won't be able to get more than two practices under his belt this week, Bosa may not be cleared to play ahead of this Saturday's game against the Bills. A return during Week 17 or 18 may be more realistic, but the 5-9 Chargers likely won't risk bringing the star edge rusher back in the midst of a non-contending season unless the team is confident he's 100 percent recovered from his right foot sprain. Bosa appeared in nine games and tallied 20 tackles, 6.5 sacks, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble prior to being placed on IR.

The Chargers placed Bosa (foot) on their injured reserve list Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Bosa will now have to sit out at least the next four weeks as he recovers from the foot injury he sustained in Week 11 at Green Bay. Rookie third-rounder Tuli Tuipulotu and Justin Hollins will probably see increased reps on the edge until Bosa is ready to play again.

Coach Brandon Staley relayed Monday that Bosa has a foot sprain and is "likely" headed to IR, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per Popper, Staley acknowledged that it's "to be determined" whether Bosa will play again this season, and with that in mind it seems safe to assume that the star pass rusher will miss some time, beginning with Sunday's game against the Ravens.

Bosa (foot) has been ruled out from returning to Sunday's matchup against Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa exited in the first quarter and has since been deemed unable to return. The star pass rusher was carted off the field and later stood on the sidelines with crutches and a walking boot, per Daniel Popper of The Athletic, so he may be dealing with a serious injury. More should be known about Bosa's injury later Sunday.

Bosa is questionable to return to Sunday's game after suffering a foot injury.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa was carted back to the locker room after limping to the sidelines in the first quarter of Sunday's contest, per Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times. Tuli Tuipulotu, a 2023 second-round pick, is expected to see more work on the Chargers' defensive line with Bosa back in the locker room.

Bosa (illness) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa popped up on the injury report Thursday due to an illness, but it looks like he is already feeling better. Barring any setbacks, look for the star outside linebacker to take on his usual role on the edge.

Bosa (illness) didn't practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa wasn't listed on the practice report Wednesday. He'll get another chance to practice Friday ahead of Sunday's Week 10 date with the Lions. Bosa has missed a lot of practice time this season but has been absent for just one game, recording 6.5 sacks and one forced fumble in seven contests.
