Freeman left Sunday's game against the Jaguars with a groin injury, Kevin Bowen of Colts.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Freeman is coming off back-to-back 10-tackle games, so his status will be worth tracking by those in IDP formats, especially with the Colts on a short week in Week 5.

Freeman had ten total tackles, a sack and a tackle for a loss in Sunday's win over Tennessee.
EDGE Analysis
Freeman had just 1.5 sacks last season and has had only one season of more than two sackes, so don't expect many more. However, Freeman remains a tackle machine again as he's averaging 8.6 tackles per game.

Freeman had six tackles in Sunday's loss at Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
A Week 1 hamstring injury nagged Freeman all season last year, limiting him to 12 games. He looks healthy after Week 1 this year and should return to his high tackle totals in an Indy defense that is vulnerable to the run.

Freeman has signed his one-year, $2.35 million restricted free agent tender with the Colts, the Indianapolis Star reports. With Freeman under contract for the 2015 season, he's on track to reprise his starting inside linebacker role for the Colts. The 28-year-old helped out IDP owners last season, when he was healthy, by racking up 95 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 12 games played.

Freeman, a restricted free agent who remains unsigned, did not attend the Colts' offseason voluntary workouts that began Monday, the Indianapolis Star reports. Freeman was given a tender offer by the Colts, but he hasn't signed the contract and appears to be skipping workouts in an effort to get a long-term contract. Freeman has until Friday to get an offer from another team, which the Colts could match. The Colts tendered Freeman a one-year, $2.35 million contract, which would require another team to give up a second-round draft pick to sigh him.

Freeman received a qualifying offer from the Colts on Thursday, the team's official website reports. A restricted free agent, Freeman has seemingly done enough to warrant a second-round tender, and it's unlikely any team would be willing to part with such a high pick for his services. While somewhat limited by injuries in 2014, he's one of the more consistent starters for Indy's shaky defense. Freeman finished the 2014 regular season with 94 tackles in 12 games, serving in a three-down role when healthy.

Freeman is "day-to-day" with a hamstring injury, said head coach Chuck Pagano. With the Colts set in their playoff position, it would seem likely Freeman will see reduced playing time or be inactive this week given this injury.
