Zuttah (leg) signed a two-year deal with the Ravens on Friday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the Ravens' offensive line plagued with both injuries and inexperience, the team looked to veteran center Jeremy Zuttah, who was recently released by the 49ers after being traded from Baltimore last March. Zuttah brings experience and familiarity to the Ravens offensive unit.

Zuttah (leg) was waived by the 49ers on Wednesday, Eric Branch of The San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zuttah was acquired by San Francisco via trade this off-season but things never quite worked out in the months to follow. There's a chance he can find a new home but things look rather bleak at the moment.

Zuttah aggravated a leg injury during OTAs on Tuesday, Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zuttah has been dealing with a soft-tissue injury which forced him to miss time during voluntary minicamp in April. The 49ers will likely err on the side of caution when it comes to addressing their new offensive lineman's condition, making sure he's completely healthy for the beginning of the season. However, it will be something to keep an eye on throughout the summer as Zuttah aims to secure the starting center role.

Zuttah was traded to the 49ers on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Correcting a previous report, Zuttah was not released by the Ravens but instead traded to the Niners in order for Baltimore to move up 12 picks in the sixth round of the upcoming draft. The move also clears the Ravens of $4.6 million in cap space this offseason. Still a quality center at 30 years of age, Zuttah should open up the 2017 season in the starting lineup and, in turn, represent a slight boost to Carlos Hyde's fantasy stock.

Zuttah was released by the Ravens on Wednesday, the team's official website reports.
EDGE Analysis
Baltimore's starting center for the past three seasons, the 30-year-old Zuttah was signed to a reasonable contract, but the team decided freeing up cap room was more important than keeping him around. He shouldn't have much trouble finding another starting gig, or at least a good shot to compete for one. The Ravens, meanwhile, have John Urschel and Ryan Jensen as potential in-house replacements on a shaky offensive line. The team also lost starting right tackle Ryan Wagner (via free agency), leaving o-line as an obvious need heading into the draft.

Ravens acquired C Jeremy Zuttah from the Buccaneers in exchange for an undisclosed 2015 draft pick. It's a late-round pick. Zuttah, 28 in June, is a Rutgers alum who was on the outs in Tampa Bay following Greg Schiano's departure. He ranked 22nd among 35 qualifying centers in Pro Football Focus' 2013 ratings, while incumbent Ravens C Gino Gradkowski came in dead last at 35th. Zuttah isn't an All Pro, but he's a stable addition to a Baltimore line that got rag-dolled all last season. Zuttah also ran a sub-5.00 forty time coming out and is a big athletic upgrade. He's a strong fit for new OC Gary Kubiak's zone-blocking scheme.

The Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens are expected to trade for Buccaneers C Jeremy Zuttah. Per the Sun's Aaron Wilson, it's "unclear when the deal will be finalized, or the terms of the trade." Zuttah has been a release candidate Tampa and Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome is arguably the league's savviest GM, so we can't imagine the Bucs getting more than a sixth-round pick. Zuttah played below-average football in 2013, but was viewed as an ascending player before that and can play guard or center. He turns 28 in June. Zuttah's 2014 base salary is $4.5 million, so Baltimore will likely look to rework his deal.
