Okudah (Achilles) took part in individual drills during Thursday's OTAs, but Lions head coach Dan Campbell said it's "hard to put a timeline" on when the cornerback will be ready for full-team activities, Chris Burke of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Okudah tore his Achilles during the first game of the 2021 campaign and was sidelined for the remainder of the season. However, it appears he's progressing well throughout rehab and could potentially be ready for the start of the regular season. Regardless, Detroit is expected to be cautious with its 2020 first-round pick after he's appeared in just 10 games across his first two years in the NFL.

EDGE Analysis
It's not clear whether that means Okudah will be ready for minicamp in June or training camp in August. However, on Thursday the 23-year-old posted a video of himself sprinting in a straight line, per SB Nation, so it seems that he could be returning sooner than later.

Okudah (lower leg) could be dealing with a significant injury, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. "We know obviously it's somewhere around the ankle, could be Achilles," head coach Dan Campbell said after Sunday's loss to San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
Okudah suffered a non-contact injury to his lower left leg Sunday. While he was able to walk off the field with some assistance from teammates, Okudah was then carted up the tunnel and into the locker room. If the 2020 first-round pick is forced to miss any time, the Lions likely will turn to 2021 third-round pick Ifeatu Melifonwu to handle the starting role at cornerback opposite Amani Oruwariye.

Okudah did not play in Detroit's preseason finale against the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Aside from getting burned by Diontae Johnson in the second exhibition tilt, Okudah has looked like a strong bounce-back candidate throughout the summer, and the 2020 first-round pick was rested for the preseason finale along with a number of other prominent Lions players. Okudah should be ready to go when Detroit opens the regular season Sept. 12 against San Francisco.

Okudah (groin) has been given a clean bill of health, putting him on track to fully participate in training camp, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Okudah has already full recovered from December groin/core-muscle surgery. The No. 3 overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, Okudah was limited to just nine games in his rookie season due to a number of injuries, even having missed a portion of last year's training camp. As he works to learn defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn's new system and take a step forward Year 2, participating in training camp at full health could benefit Okudah significantly.
