Jeff Cumberland had one catch for 30 yards in Sunday's Week 17 win over Miami. Cumberland caught a game-sealing 30-yard halfback pass from Bilal Powell late in the fourth quarter. It was his only catch of the game. He finishes 2013 with 26 catches for 398 yards and four touchdowns, playing in a committee with Kellen Winslow. The Jets will likely look to upgrade at tight end in the offseason.

Jeff Cumberland was held without a catch in Week 14. Cumberland is behind Kellen Winslow for targets and has fewer than 10 yards in four of his last five games. Continue to ignore him in all fantasy formats.

Jeff Cumberland was held to one catch for nine yards in Week 12. Rotating with Kellen Winslow, Cumberland is a plodding mover on a poor passing team. We hope you don't even feel the need to roster him in fantasy leagues for Week 13 against the Dolphins.

Jeff Cumberland (concussion) is inactive for Sunday's Week 9 game against the Saints. Cumberland should have no problem getting cleared during the Week 10 bye. The Jets will be forced to roll with Patriots castoff Zach Sudfeld as their every-down tight end. Santonio Holmes (hamstring) also remains out. The rest of the Jets inactives: QB David Garrard, RB Alex Green, G William Campbell, OL Ben Ijilana and OT Oday Aboushi.

Jets coach Rex Ryan said TE Jeff Cumberland (concussion) has not yet been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints. Cumberland was able to practice on a limited basis this week, but is still in the final stage of his concussion protocol. He's officially listed as questionable and will likely come down to a game-time decision.

Jets TE Jeff Cumberland (concussion) is not expected to play in Week 9 against the Saints. Cumberland wasn't cleared to practice Wednesday and will be held out this week after suffering what was initially called a "mild" concussion. Zach Sudfeld will draw the start in his absence.

Jets TE Jeff Cumberland suffered a "mild" concussion in Week 8 against the Bengals, but is expected to be cleared for Week 9. The Jets need all hands on deck against the Saints, and beat reporter Manish Mehta considers Cumberland "likely to play" this week. The concussion could help explain Cumberland's minimal Week 8 usage. He only played 30-of-67 snaps against Cincinnati, catching one of two targets for nine yards.

Jeff Cumberland caught just one pass for nine yards in Week 8 against Cincinnati. Cumberland was targeted twice on the day. He's typically Geno Smith's favorite target over the middle and down the seams, but David Nelson played that role this week. Cumberland is too inconsistent to be anything more than a low TE2.

Updating an earlier item, Jeff Cumberland (hamstring) returned to Jets practice Thursday, getting in a limited session. Cumberland must have been extremely limited, as the Jets' press corps reported him as "DNP" earlier Thursday. Either way, Cumberland is tentatively expected to suit up for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Barely on the TE2 radar even when healthy, Cumberland can't be trusted in fantasy leagues for Week 8.
