It's a stunning pick that's not easily justified when, by almost any account, Smith's medical situation is even more concerning than that of Myles Jack, who Dallas selected Smith ahead of. With ongoing nerve damage issues in his knee, Smith is all but already declared out for the 2016 season, and there remain doubts about his ability to play in general. With that said, if Smith should make a seemingly improbable recovery to his full previous form, he would provide Dallas with a rare athletic talent at linebacker.
