Wright, who has been sidelined because of an apparent calf injury, participated in practice Saturday for the first time since Aug. 8, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright says he expects to play at some point in the preseason. He has not played in the first two preseason games. In the meantime, Adam Thielen is having a strong preseason and making a case to get playing time ahead of Wright as the team's fourth receiver.

EDGE Analysis
Wright hasn't practiced since suffering an unknown ailment at an Aug. 6 practice. He says he expects to play at some point in the preseason. However, Adam Thielen is having a strong preseason and making a case to get playing time ahead of Wright as the team's fourth receiver.

Wright (undisclosed) expects to play at some point in the preseason, Matt Vensel of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "I'm doing pretty good," Wright said Tuesday. "I'll definitely be back to play in a preseason game. I'm not really sure which one yet. But I'm doing pretty good."
EDGE Analysis
Wright hasn't practiced since suffering an unknown ailment at an Aug. 6 practice, which all but rules him out for Thursday's game at Seattle. During the aforementioned media session, he was seen wearing a sleeve on his lower left leg but wouldn't acknowledge its nature because the Vikings have not. If he indeed plays in the preseason, he'll likely be contained to the third week of exhibitions, as it's the one in which regular members of organizations receive their highest snap count before the regular season. Once he attains full health, his status as the receiver with the most connections with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in his brief career should help Wright hold down a consistent role.

Wright (undisclosed) didn't travel with the Vikings in advance of Friday's preseason game at Cincinnati, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright is among a number of Vikings to remain in Mankato, Minn. rather than make the trip in order to receive treatment, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. Because Zimmer didn't disclose the nature of any injury, Wright's status is in limbo in the short term. Perhaps Wright's biggest concern is his listing as a fourth-stringer on the Vikings' first unofficial depth chart of training camp.

Wright is listed as fourth on Minnesota's initial depth chat of the preseason, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Charles Johnson had a strong showing in spring practices and early in training camp which could push Wright to fourth string behind Laquon Treadwell and Stephon Diggs as well. More realistically, Wright will likely have the same role as last year with limited usage as a third or fourth receiver in the slot regardless of the depth chart. Wright can break big plays, but isn't set to get many targets in a run-heavy offense.

Wright had two catches for 21 yards on three targets in Sunday's win over Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Wright finished off the regular season with 34 receptions for 442 yards and no touchdowns--all of which were slight drop-offs from his 2014 campaign. That said, his target total fell from 62 to 49 due in part to the additions of rookie Stefon Diggs and veteran deep threat Mike Wallace. In all, Wright had a fine year relative to his role, but serving as the third receiver in a run-heavy offense doesn't bode particularly well for his fantasy value in 2016.

Wright had three receptions for 57 yards and was targeted three times in Sunday's win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Wright led the Vikings in receiving yards, but Minnesota didn't need to throw the ball much after getting a large early lead. Wright has had five or more targets in just three games this season, so he'll continue to have a secondary role in the passing game.

Wright had a season-high five receptions for 51 yards on six targets, but lost a fumble in Thursday's loss to Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Minnesota's passing game showed surprising signs of life after struggling last week, and Wright tied for the team lead in targets. Still, Wright has had five or more targets in just three games this season, so don't expect this every week as the team's third receiver.

Wright had two receptions for 24 yards on two targets in Sunday's loss to Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Minnesota's passing game couldn't get into gear Sunday amid protection issues in the offensive line. Wright doesn't get enough looks for viable fantasy value in most formats, but he's capable of a big play.

Wright had two receptions for 13 yards and was targeted just two times in Sunday's win at Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Wright isn't going to get many targets as the third receiver when Minnesota's running game is clicking, and Adrian Peterson had 158 yards rushing Sunday.
