Cook has logged at least 48 percent of the offensive snaps in four of the last five games, a span in which he accumulated 16 catches (on 25 targets) for 231 yards and touchdowns. That amounts to a healthy 9.2 yards per target, but now a back issue is impacting his practice reps. Cook has two more chances to prove his health ahead of Sunday's divisional-round game versus the Buccaneers.

Cook corralled four of seven targets for 40 yards in the Saints' 21-9 win over the Bears on Sunday.

Cook tied for team lead in targets, but he was only able to turn them into a scoreless 4-40 receiving line. He's remained involved in the offensive game plan of late, but if Cook isn't scoring, he's typically not doing enough to provide more than middling production for fantasy managers. He'll look to improve on this performance next week against Tampa Bay.

Cook caught four of five targets for 43 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 33-7 win over the Panthers.

Cook finished second on the team in targets and receptions while finishing third in receiving yardage. He got the scoring started with an 18-yard touchdown in the first quarter, taking his impressive total to seven for the season. Cook also finishes the campaign with a modest 37 receptions and 504 yards but could take on a more critical role in the wild-card matchup against the Bears, who have been tough on opposing wideouts but susceptible to tight ends.

Cook brought in three of four targets for 82 yards in the Saints' 52-33 win over the Vikings on Friday.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran tight end was just a catch and a yard behind Emmanuel Sanders for the team lead in those categories while also tying Marquez Callaway for second in targets. Cook's 44-yard reception early in the fourth quarter was notably the longest of the game for either team and helped set up Alvin Kamara's fifth touchdown of the contest. Cook also recorded a pair of 19-yard grabs for his other two catches of the afternoon while functioning as more of a downfield threat in the absence of Michael Thomas and Tre'Quan Smith, both on injured reserve with ankle sprains. The 33-year-old will look to finish off the regular season strong versus the Panthers in a Week 17 divisional battle.

Cook secured two of five targets for 29 yards in the Saints' 32-29 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Cook's scoring streak came to an end after two games, and without the score, his day was noticeably disappointing. In stark contrast to his 2019 late-season surge, Cook is on the decline as the 2020 season wanes. He hasn't logged more than three receptions or 37 receiving yards since Week 8, and his fantasy value is highly dependent on scoring. He'll look to find the end zone Week 16 when the Saints face the Vikings on Christmas.

EDGE Analysis

The tight end caught a 20-yard strike from Taysom Hill late in the fourth quarter to bring the Saints to within a field goal, but they couldn't recover the subsequent onside kick. Cook has scored in consecutive games, giving him six TDs on the year, and he may get his number called in the red zone again in Week 15 as New Orleans hosts Patrick Mahomes and the high-octane Kansas City offense.

Cook secured three of five targets for 28 receiving yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 21-16 win against Atlanta.

The 33-year-old entered Sunday's divisional tilt amidst a dramatic production slump, having posted just one total catch for six yards over his three preceding outings. Cook was held to 30 or fewer receiving yards for a fifth consecutive outing during Week 13, but a second-quarter TD at least gave him a respectable fantasy day among tight ends. Next on the schedule is a road trip to Philadelphia, where Cook will face off against an Eagles defense that ranks fifth worst in the NFL with a 75.3 percent catch rate surrendered to opposing TEs.

Cook did not haul in either of his targets during Sunday's 31-3 win against the Broncos.

EDGE Analysis

It was a low-volume passing script for the Saints in Week 12, as Denver could muster hardly any offensive momentum with practice squad call-up Kendall Hinton -- and a myriad of Broncos RBs -- taking snaps under center. For the two-time Pro Bowl tight end, his midseason slump continues, as Cook has just one combined catch for six receiving yards over his past three outings after he posted at least two receptions in every one of his appearances Weeks 1 through 9, with an average output of 39.9 receiving yards per game during that span. Taysom Hill is likely to remain his QB for a Week 13 matchup against the Falcons.

Cook caught his only target for six yards in the Saints' 24-9 win over the Falcons on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

The disappointing performance was Cook's third straight dud, as he's now gone just 3-36-0 combined across his last three contests. The matchup with Atlanta seemed like a get-right spot, but a bounceback performance failed to materialize, perhaps due to Taysom Hill being under center instead of Drew Brees (ribs). Cook will be tough to trust as more than a touchdown-dependent fantasy option in Week 12 against Denver.

Cook failed to bring in either of his targets in the Saints' 27-13 win over the 49ers on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

New Orleans' passing game was a mess all afternoon, with Drew Brees failing to get much going in the first half and Jameis Winston not faring any better in the second. After scoring in four of his first six games to open the season, Cook has gone ice cold, securing two receptions for 30 yards combined in Weeks 9-10. A matchup with Atlanta's porous secondary offers bounce-back potential for Cook in Week 11.
