Wright was released by the Raiders on Saturday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports.

Entering his eighth season in the league, Wright's veteran presence didn't make him a lock for a spot in the Raiders' secondary. He was bothered by a minor hamstring injury during the latter portion of training camp as the team consequently brought in Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to provide additional depth.
