Mims has worked with the second-team offense throughout minicamp, and that remained the case as the Jets began practicing Wednesday, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mims is clearly behind offseason addition Keelan Cole -- who has been working with the first-team offense -- in the battle for the starting spot opposite Corey Davis. The 2020 second-round pick out of Baylor has excellent measurables, but until Mims develops as a route runner and polishes his game, he may not see a steady snap/target share.
