Sanu (knee) wasn't among the players added to San Francisco's roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale against the Rams, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

San Francisco first designated Sanu for return from injured reserve Wednesday, so the team will have the opportunity activate him at some point in the next two and a half weeks, if the 49ers remain alive in the playoffs at that point. Before spraining his knee Week 9 against the Cardinals and landing on IR, Sanu appeared in eight games and recorded 15 receptions for 177 yards on 24 targets.
