Witten did not appear on the stat sheet in Thursday's 17-15 win over the Vikings, going without a catch in a game since the 2008 season.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran tight end's franchise record of 130 straight games with a reception went by the wayside in the process, but Witten still found a way to play a pivotal role in sealing the victory. His recovery of the Vikings' last-gasp onside kick with 25 seconds left insured the Cowboys a club-record 11th consecutive win, although that naturally did nothing for his fantasy prospects on the night. However, there's little doubt that Witten will bounce back to some degree when Dallas takes on the Giants in a late-season NFC East showdown in Week 14.

It's going to be fun to watch them flop in the playoffs.

yup, cup cake schedule.. playoff football is a whole different level.. they will get destroyed!

As A giants fan Im dying for next week, I wish the Vikings offense had finished them off so that the game would be a battle for 1st in the East, guess I'll just have to be content with beating them twice. Other than the Giants (who beat them) The cowboys have not truly played any playoff teams this season. The vikings were the best opponent they played and if nto for a fumble in their own red zone Dallas would have lost that one too. Their record is deceiving because they are far from the best in the League.

Tis the season for donuts, last 2 weeks i have never seen so many damn donuts from players

dont get me wrong, i think the cowboys are legit but the soft schedule is true and i think the NFL gave them a huge gift with not just a soft schedule but the Redskins at home on a short week after the Skins played a night game just 4 days prior and then another Thursday night game on the road but NOT a short week because of the Thursday game they played at home the week before. thats a major gift as i think the Skins would have beat them if not on a short week on the road and the Vikes could have beat them if the boys had a true short week on the road.

iMpressive, the Skins would be in the playoffs if they started today. Same with the Baltimore (whom they played a few weeks ago).and Lions (whom they will play in a few weeks). They also played the Steelers who are tied with Baltimore and could very well take the division.

the Seahawks and Falcons look to round out the playoffs with TB coming on strong so looking at the NFC playoff picture, everyone outside of the Skins and Seahawks are new to the playoffs. the boys have a real chance but i am a hater so i say they flop, lol.

Chiefs baby Chieeeeeeeeeefs!!!!!!!

@joegibbskins, youre right about the skins, they are true playoff team. As for the Steelers and Baltimore, while youre correct about their playoff position as of now I do not view them as true playoff teams this season. I should have been more clear in my statement though, the Cowboys have not played any true contenders other than the Giants and yes, the skins. And the Giants beat them, the Vikings are an unbalanced team with an extremely limited offense and basically a pop warner offensive line and the Vikings should have won that game, they outplayed Dallas all around. I think the cowboys record is only a reflection of soft scheduling rather than true depth and talent. You say they flop, I agree, I would bet my bottom dollar that Dallas will be eliminated in the first playoff game they play.

In looking at the current playoff race, there is only 3 dominant teams based of records; Pats, Oak and Dullas. The others that we all know is always a serious threat in the playoffs is Seahawks and The 'Burg. The teams that currently look hot but have limited playoff experience as of late include giants, skins and Falcons. I am pleased to see teams like panthers, cards and Denver fall behind. It's good to see fresh meat.

I believe the Chiefs beat the Raiders in Oakland, just saying

yesterdays game was a fluky win, lol.

We have won a couple games this year that we usually lose. Week 1 vs San Diego came from behind, Carolina on the road came from behind, Denver on the road came from behind, Atlanta on the road came from behind (kinda?), as most important was Oakland on the road where we controlled the entire game. This Thursday is going to be the big one............everyone thinks the Chiefs are flukey but if we beat Oakland twice i think they have to be considered a legit contender and a threat to New England minus Gronk. Look at the last 2 times we played New England....we lost by 1 score on the road in the playoffs, and the time before that we hung 40+ points on them at Arrowhead and Brady got benched.
