With SS Chris Harris doubtful due to a hamstring injury, Brandon Meriweather will start at free safety in Week 2 against the Saints. Signed just a few weeks ago, Meriweather was expected to move into the starting unit regardless, but Harris' injury sealed the deal. Major Wright moves over to strong safety, and while Meriweather has plenty of experience, the sudden changes won't help with Drew Brees over center.
