Coach John Harbaugh said Monday that Bateman (groin) will practice this week, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Bateman began the season on IR and would be eligible to return this week if he is healthy. The Ravens' receiving crops -- particularly Marquise Brown -- struggled mightily in Sunday's win over the Lions, so the rookie's activation could come at the perfect time for Baltimore. The first-round pick underwent surgery in the middle of August and was expected to miss around 6-to-8 weeks, which would put him back sometime between now and Week 6.
