USA Today reports the Colts are already in discussions with free agent Matt Hasselbeck to make him their backup quarterback. Mike Garafolo says the two sides "could soon agree" to a deal. Hasselbeck, 38 in September, isn't interested in finding a team where he can compete for a starting job, but a place where he has a shot to get back to the playoffs.
