Werner injured his ankle against the Ravens on Monday Night Football in Week 9 and missed the Saints' subsequent two contests. His inability to practice Wednesday does not bode well for his return this Sunday in San Francisco, though he'll have two more days this week to try to get back on the field. If he's absent again Week 12, Kaden Elliss would likely again be in line for a near every-down role.
