The Titans hold a 2015 option on Jake Locker's contract.
Locker will be back in 2014 for the final year of his rookie deal at $2.09 million. But the Titans have to decide by May 3, 2014 if they'll exercise a fifth-year option. As noted by the Nashville Tennessean, teams exercising the fifth-year option for a top-10 pick have to pay him a salary equal to the NFL transition tag. That would mean the Titans would have to pay Locker $13.068 million in 2015. Given his uneven play on the field and myriad of injuries, it's almost impossible to see this option getting picked up.
