The Texans are working out free agent QBs Jeff Garcia and Jake Delhomme on Tuesday.
Right now they are clearly vying for the backup job behind rookie T.J. Yates, but if either of them can still play they make for somewhat compelling options. The Texans have a playoff-caliber team and need a game manager, and not a rookie learning on the job. Neither veteran signal-caller should be viewed as a savior to the Texans' overall woes with Matt Schaub on I.R.
They need Brett and he could manage the game with that running game and defense. Then if they put 8 or 9 in the box throw it up to A. Johnson. Maybe he could ruin the Packers season in the Superbowl and get a little pay back!

If they get Delhomme, they'll be heading home. As in they will lose in the first round.
