The Texans are expected to open long-term extension talks with Matt Schaub. Schaub is entering a contract year, and the Texans believe he's fully healthy coming off Lisfranc surgery. Proposals between the two sides have yet to be initiated, but Len Pasquarelli of The Sports Xchange suggests a deal could be reached "prior to the start of the season." Schaub is set to make $7.15 million in 2012, and turns 31 later this month.
