The Raiders have released Branch (foot), the San Jose Mercury News reports. Branch's release frees up nearly $3 million in salary cap space for the Raiders in advance of free agency. Branch has been a productive IDP when healthy, but he's been limited to just five games over the last two seasons, including three in 2014 (in which he recorded 30 tackles).
