The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the Eagles and Jeremy Maclin have held "preliminary discussions" about a contract extension. Maclin, the No. 19 overall pick in 2009, is entering the final year of his rookie deal and is scheduled to earn $3.203 million. Although the two sides have discussed a new deal, Maclin has said that he doesn't expect one to get hammered out before next offseason. He's been a steady outside weapon, but Maclin has yet to post a 1,000-yard season as he's battled injuries and inconsistency.
