The Newark Star-Ledger reports the Giants do have interest in free agent Matt Hasselbeck, but they're not expected to sign him. The G-Men don't currently have a capable backup on the roster with David Carr being a free agent, so the Hasselbeck idea makes sense. The soon-to-be 38-year-old is expected to be above their price range, though. Eli Manning and Curtis Painter are the only quarterbacks employed by the Giants at the moment.
