The Jaguars claim they "really liked" safety Josh Evans and would have drafted him as early as the third-round. General Manager David Caldwell says Evans was the "next guy that we were really targeting," if they missed out on Johnathan Cyprien, and the team would have taken Evans "in the third." This is the second time Caldwell has talked up Evans during the offseason, but the rookie remains unlikely to contribute outside of special teams this year.
