The Houston Chronicle confirms that it is "expected" Matt Schaub's second opinion from Dr. Robert Anderson next week will reveal that Schaub needs surgery to repair his Lisfranc joint. Schaub is still holding out hope that Anderson determines he won't need surgery, but it's all but a foregone conclusion after the Texans' medical staff surveyed the foot extensively. Barring a miracle, Schaub figures to be placed on season-ending injured reserve just as the Texans emerge from their Week 11 bye.
