The Giants are "hopeful" Brandon Jacobs (knee) can resume practicing on Friday. The "hope" comes from coach Tom Coughlin. Even if Jacobs suits up Friday, he'll be no better than 50-50 to play against the Chargers. Our guess is that Peyton Hillis will back up Andre Brown in San Diego.
