The Colts announced today they will not re-sign outside linebacker Dwight Freeney. This isn't earth-shattering news by any stretch, as Freeney is a poor fit in the Colts' 3-4 defense. Along with Austin Collie, Freeney's contract will expire on March 12. "We will miss him, but look forward to his future induction into the Hall of Fame and Colts Ring of Honor," said owner Jim Irsay. The 33-year-old Freeney will attract interest in free agency as situational pass rusher. With Freeney's departure, the only holdovers from the Colts' 2006 Super Bowl championship team are Reggie Wayne, Robert Mathis, Antonie Bethea and Adam Vinatieri.
