The Chiefs' website refers to the team's backfield as a "running back by committee" situation following Jamaal Charles' torn ACL. KCChiefs.com calls Thomas Jones, Dexter McCluster, Le'Ron McClain, and Jackie Battle all candidates for carries. Jones, now 33 years old, has 14 rushing attempts for 43 yards (3.07 YPC) through two games. McCluster will probably play the most snaps because Kansas City will so often be trailing. Aside from McCluster, it's a situation to avoid in fantasy leagues.

fact is when Thomas jones got the "lions share" of the carries in 2010 the chiefs won the ball game take who you will but tj will get at least 1000 apy and at least 6 TDs again this year.

Jones is old, McClain is a wash, McCluster is the only one worth going for unless you are playing with deep rosters.

i like mcclain here upside is very good

Scott_A_Smith Wed 9/21/11 3:05 PM

Sorry I don't see McClain as having the most upside. I see McCluster as the most upside but in the end I think Jones gets the lion's share because he is the better all around back on the squad and has already had success in their system.

at first it will split between jones an mcclain at rb we see that old jones has little left an mcclain takes rb spot !!!!!!!!!

mcculster stay at same with increase roll as te is out for year as well.
