The Charlotte Observer calls the return of ex-Panthers Jake Delhomme or Kerry Collins to Charlotte a "longshot." The Panthers are looking for a veteran quarterback to bridge the gap to Cam Newton. However, starting Delhomme would bring them closer to Stanford QB Andrew Luck than any bridge to the future. At age 36, Delhomme is done. Collins, meanwhile, has stated his interest in returning to the Titans as a bridge to Jake Locker.
