The Bears are "taking a look" at free agent RB Steve Slaton. It sounds like they're giving him a tryout on Friday or over the weekend. The Bears already have their Week 2 game out of the way after losing to the Packers on Thursday night. Slaton would be insurance for Matt Forte (ankle). Forte could miss a month or more with what's believed to be a high ankle sprain.
