Edmonds isn't practicing Thursday and remains likely to miss 3-to-4 weeks due to the high-ankle sprain he sustained in the Week 9 win over the 49ers, but Arizona has yet to place him on injured reserve, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Additionally, head coach Kliff Kingsbury hasn't officially ruled Edmonds out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, though Kingsbury at least admitted Monday that the running back is unlikely to play Week 10, per Dana Scott of The Arizona Republic reports. A move to injured reserve (and an accompanying three-game absence) is still the most likely outcome for Edmonds, but the Cardinals could be inclined to wait until the end of the week to make the transaction official. Given the lack of established depth behind him, James Conner looks poised to handle a three-down role for Arizona while Edmonds is on the mend.
