Steelers LB Stevenson Sylvester is in the mix as the long-term successor to James Farrior. Farrior was cut loose in early March, leaving a void at "buck" linebacker. Veteran Larry Foote is the favorite as his replacement, but, at 31-years-old, is considered only a short-term solution. "Sly", meanwhile, was a fifth-round pick in 2010 and has contributed mainly on special teams so far, playing only 35 defensive snaps in 2011. He'll compete for a top reserve role in 2012 with Pittsburgh's inevitable draft selections at the position.
