Speaking at new coach Ken Whisenhunt's introductory presser, GM Ruston Webster hinted Jake Locker will get another chance to be the Titans' quarterback in 2014.
"I think that's something we'll continue to discuss and go through," Webster said. "But I would anticipate Jake having a good chance to do that." Whisenhunt was similarly measured in his comments, but said nothing to suggest he won't give Locker a chance. Limited to 18 games by injury over the past two seasons, Locker is expected to remain in a walking boot until late March as he recovers from Lisfranc surgery.
i think Whisenhunt was one of the better available coaches on the market this year but lets be honest, he is a poor judge of talent. give him a good QB and he can work wonders with your offense. ask him to spin gold out of straw and he cant do squat. so seeing him go to a team that is basically calling this next year their QB's last chance as well as watching their run game walk via free agency just comes off as a bad fit.
Yeah he just battled inferior QBs for several years in Arizona, why would he come to Tenn and try the same thing? He never spent a 1st round pick on a QB in Arizona....I would draft a QB this year and cut CJ2K if I was him.
