Smith completed 17 of 26 passes for 264 yards with a touchdown and interception in Thursday's 21-13 win over the Raiders. He also gained three yards on four rushes and lost a fumble on a strip sack.
EDGE Analysis
The virtually unstoppable Khalil Mack forced Smith into his only miscue of the night when he separated him from the ball on an early third-quarter sack, but the veteran signal caller was otherwise virtually flawless. He was particularly proficient in an area that he rarely excels in, downfield passing, as he completed throws of 34, 36 and 39 yards on the night to three different pass catchers. Smith's 10.2 YPA equaled his second-highest figure in that category this season, and he threw a touchdown for the fourth straight week when he found Tyreek Hill for a 36-yard score early in the second quarter. Now having pulled the Chiefs into a tie for first place in the AFC West, Smith will look to keep pushing for a division crown when they face the Titans in a Week 15 home tilt.
